3. Accounts & API Keys
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and API keys
- You are responsible for all activity conducted using your credentials
- You may not share, transfer, or publicly expose your API keys
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. License & Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, Second Dot LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your internal business purposes or as integrated within your own applications.
You may:
- Integrate the API into your applications
- Use API data to power features within your product
5. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the API or any data obtained from it
- Republish, mirror, or expose API data as a standalone dataset or competing service
- Use the Service to build a competing financial data platform or dataset
- Bulk download, scrape, or store substantial portions of the data outside reasonable application use
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract underlying systems or data structures
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose
Second Dot LLC reserves the right to determine violations of these Terms at its sole discretion.
6. Rate Limits & Usage
- Use of the Service is subject to plan-specific limits, including rate limits and request quotas
- Exceeding limits may result in throttling, suspension, or additional charges (if applicable)
- We reserve the right to modify usage limits at any time
7. Payments & Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis according to your selected plan
- All fees are non-refundable except where required by law
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, or government charges
8. Data & No Financial Advice Disclaimer
- The Service provides data derived from publicly available filings and other sources
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data
- The Service does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice
- You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the Service
9. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all data, software, and content, are owned by or licensed to Second Dot LLC.
Except for the limited license granted herein, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Second Dot LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Second Dot LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
